Police crash a confiscated Evo VIII into someone's garden... :/

bet they get let off with a slapped wrist

"we were testing the brakes/engine/pedals/wingmirror"
"we saw a suspicious shadow in the garden and tried to TPAC it in our rally spec car"

INSANE STUNT BONUS!

To damage the front and rear like that and land on the roof, must have done something quite special.

Just a reminder that police officers are only human too. Judging by the amount of posturing they do on the TV shows this doesn't surprise me. Poor Evo and if the driver of the car is cleared then they're gonna look even sillier.

Foot clearly slipped on to the accelerator is all.

The Forensics will prove the vehicle accelerated to approximately 50MPH in 0.002Sec just from measuring the length and density of the skid-marks in the drivers underwear.

I reckon, stuck accelerator

they will be made out to be heros for avoiding an innocent bystander in their rally spec evo, "officers numbnuts and dimwit were shocked to find the accelerator pedal unresponsive in their rally spec evo, fortunately due to their advanced driving abilities they were able to avoid killing 38 children and were forced to use the GPUDT method(garden parking upside down technique) which all officers are taught to save lives, the high power rally spec super car saved their lives with the rally spec A pillar and superior engine power"

The guy right at the end of the video made me MAJOR LOLZ, he goes:

"It makes you think, if thats the sort of thing that can happen at 30mph"

What a prize idiot, if he thinks that much damage has been done at 30mph he needs his brain examining, no wonder so many people think anything over 40mph means instadeath.

Drink driver? serves him right tbh, those cops have given him the punishment that our lame court system will fail to do

Are we reading the same story?

Story I read said that the driver (note driver, not necessarily owner) was suspected of drink-driving after being seen driving erratically.

No mention of any harm caused to anyone, no crashes, just seen driving "erratically" (which for all we know could simply be partaking in a bit of Traffic Lights GP or drifting round a deserted roundabout at 2am).

It then appears to be the two police officers that have crashed the vehicle. So which of the two drivers of the vehicle would appear to have been in more control of it?

its not a vehicle its a highly tuned rally spec evo

and everyone is guilty and will be caught by the traffic cops

yeah, rally spec evo, yeah

(for the record I think I've eaten some dodgy mushy peas with my fish and chips that have mind altering substances in them!!)

Haha - idiot!

"It just went wooosh when I touched the gas peddle me lud, honest and now we're on gardening leave."

The pair climbed into the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution in Hale while waiting for a recovery truck.

oh dear. thought they would take it for a 'spin' before the lorry arrived did they?

sounds suspiciously like a 'joyride' to me. like they just wanted to take it around the block and see what it could do.

He was arrested for drink driving, meaning he failed the breathalyser, why the police crashed we don't know, maybe stupidity, maybe a genuine problem with the car, all we know for certain is the owner has got what he deserves ^^
