It'll offer the old as the new. I hope you like carrying 10 weapons, needing med packs, not having to use cover like a sissy girl, being able to sprint for an infinite amount of time, shooting underwater, and just plain generally being a complete badass.

This isn't some pussy space marine we're talking about!

space marine as in just a space marine or as in 40k space marine... cos dukes weapons wouldnt even scratch there armor :rolleyes:

I seriously doubt it will be cancelled as Gearbox are just polishing the game and have announced a 2011 release date. My guess is that it will be released in late autumn 2011 just in time for the Christmas markets.
 
I'll believe it when I see it in the shops. They've been bs'ing and chewing bubblegum (and they're all out of bubblegum) since 1997 or close to it.
 
I was surprised when I saw Duke Nukem Forever was the top trending topic on Twitter!

It's not April Fool's day, so it's real.
Looks like the game was quite a long way down the line when the 3D Realms dispute happened where it looked like it was canned for good. Probably took Take-Two a while to work it all out, but by it seeming it was finally done for, then bringing it back again is just adding to the mystery that is 'Duke Nuke Forever'.

The sheer fact that most true gamers know how long this game has been in development for, and most likely enjoyed the original is too much of a chance to miss out on a guaranteed seller if they can make a half decent game out of it.
 
If it ever ever does ship, I can see there being a hell of a lot of purchases simply because its Duke, and I've been excited about this since it was announced while I was still at school.

That's the very reason they've resurrected it, because it will sell.
 
I really hope it includes a developer commentary system ala HL-eps, would be awesome hearing to the actual developers thoughts now they aren't under an inept managements thumb.

It's pretty much the messiah figure of games! I'm also going to buy it on principle, but part of me just wants them to keep delaying it forever... it's like finally realizing your faith actually turns out to be real, but do you really want to see the face of God?
