Just Had My O2 Broadband Cancelled???

I received the call on Tuesday telling me they are cancelling my connection. I have until the 6th October to have moved ISP. I already have all of this sorted but have asked for the migration not to be completed until the 30th September so I can hammer my line a bit and grab the last few steam games I've had sat in my queue for a few weeks lol

In case anyone is wondering, I'm moving to Xilo. I get a very nice 50gb peak time allowance and unlimited off peak which is perfect for me :)

What's the cost of Xilo? Lots of ADSL constrained people I Know all moaning about crappy usage limits, so it's always nice to have some good alternate recommendations..
 
The package i'm going for is £25 a month, It might seem a bit pricey but I've heard nothing but good things regarding them :)

You should have a look on the XILO website as they offer loads of different packages
 
I'm just putting together a few comparisons of ISPs to decide on which to move to. I'm in the same position as you Fonz-Valo, I've been getting all my games on Steam that I've held off on and will then jump to the new ISP. I'll check out XILO

I seriously can't see how they justify 20Gb as unlimited :confused:
Even BT's ridiculously low FUP is higher than that lol
If you've got no LLU your stuck with providers that have silly limitations most of the time.
 
They don't list it as Unlimited now. The package now shows it having a 20GB usage.

A lot of providers have good usage policies, they just cost a bit more. If you're happy to pay £30 a month you should be fine. Biggest I've found is 100GB Peak and Unlimited Offpeak.

Where as on LLU you could get a better package for £10 a month. Or something silly.

Xilo are great. Their support is very quick and actually helpful. I'm on their office 80gb package. It's pricey but has it's advantages; Office has a higher upload if your line can support it, priority over home and value packages on the wholesale network and a peak of 8am to 8pm. Any other time is offpeak and unlimited, as are weekends.
