Police crash a confiscated Evo VIII into someone's garden... :/

woops typo there I meant glass, and yes anybody who drives after half a glass or 2 bottles of Vodka should have their car crusher/trashed

How about talking on a mobile while driving? Just the rear end smashed in for that i think.

Speeding? Well thats got to be front, back and drivers side (so his door wont open) smashed in.

Both of the above leading up to a proactive total loss by the investigating copper in the case of a suspected drunken driving.

I wont say what happens in the event of a conviction in the interest of not being cruel to children and cats.

Thank you for listening to this evenings "Voice of Reason" from Ubersonic.com

this is why Maz's assertions that MB demonstrator cars cant have been thrashed make me laugh.

"the employee of the garage wouldnt drive, or let others drive it beyond the 3500rpm limit"

and my response was how would anybody know what they had been doing.

That is unless of course, that whilst out having fun, you do something like this to it ....

In which case you loose your job, like these coppers may well end up doing. Doesnt stop them being human however. And humans are always going to be tempted to break the rules.

Apparently it has now been leaked to the Press that their Sergeant told them he 'Wanted them back at the station ASAP and see if you can grab a few Donuts on the way' :D

That's rarely been my experience when test driving cars. When I test drove an M3 the salesman told me "not to drive like Miss Daisy" so I did exactly that. I gave it no sympathy at all, thrashed it from cold to the redline and the salesman didn't bat an eyelid. Same applied when I test drove the CTR. I didn't drive the first Elise I looked at but the salesman scared the crap out of me when he drove, put it that way.
When I test drove the Clio 197 F1 and RX8 I was just given the keys and told to come back in an hour. They both got test driven properly too.

I've known salesmen tell me stories about what happens when they take the demo cars home. I'm not sure if it's to impress me but based on those stories and my experiences alone I'd never buy an ex demo car that's for sure.

me too

that was why i laughed so much. But maz assured me that couldnt happen as company policy at that dealer forbid it

Just like coppers are forbidden from thrashing siezed vehicles belonging to members of the public eh ? ;)

They don't arrest you for passing a breath test... He may not have been convicted/sentenced yet but he is defiantly guilty

If he failed to provide a satisfactory breath sample, say due to being asthmatic or if he refused a breath test then he would also have been arrested, doesn't mean the driver has done anything wrong.

Be careful Gibbo :p

It'd be safe to say somebody will be out of a job and too right, even if your caught drink driving not like they should be 'joy riding' in your car let alone parking it precisely in somebodys garden

;)
Mondeo STI's? You on some sort of factual inaccuracy rampage or something?! :p

lol noooo just the one for today.

It's the guy from Police Interceptors who literally get's every car name wrong. His best one, IMO, is calling the Mondeo ST220 a Mondeo STI. :p

no chance the high performance ford st's would have been onsite in 3-7 seconds

:D

If they had had the rally spec Evo's that do 0-60 in 4.8 seconds and a top speed of over 150 *insert generic good sounding car engine here*, they would have been there in 2-5 seconds.

Budget cuts - they're a horrible thing :(
