Another Parking Thread - A-Hole Alert!

Just makes me laugh if there is one thing in life guaranteed to escalate a situation to violence, its damaging a mans car on purpose.

Why would you even suggest it to pensioners, especially when he obviously cant even fight sleep himself.

Does he work, because it sounds like he is at home all day.

I have noticed over the passed ten years the roads are getting more and more full with parked cars, our street is ok because everyone has drivers and most have 1 car.

Someone like that, the only way you can hurt them is by the pocket, key his car or slash his tyres, he will soon start using the garage for his cars. Who has 2 cars and 3 bikes anyway.

LOLcheets stupid troll is stupid.

Not a lot you can do OP nor can your parents do unless you want an ongoing battle with him.

He needs a happy ending for his parents not an ongoing battle.

I cant think of a good solution to this if the bloke really cant be spoken to, do you not have any mates or relatives he might be able to relate to? Speak to him in his own language so to speak.

So my suggestion was legal and not a good idea, yet you are advocating threats and violence as a better alternative? Good one :p

Yea that didnt turn quite how i wanted it to sound :) Ignore me.

Buy a car with a sunroof and 12 months tax, make sure tax disc is well secured, call readymix and buy 4m3 of concrete, open sunroof, pour in & trowel top, wait 24 hrs and admire

You could tamp the top but that would be a ***** finish, trowel is nicer

He has no legal right to park outside his house, and you have no legal right to park outside yours.
Aslong as the vehicles are Taxed & MOTd and not blocking a dropped curb then it's fine whoever it is. Free For All!

Though it does annoy me when you see people parked inefficiently and if they'd moved up you could fit an extra car in!

The old transit idea is a good shout though...

just park in front of his garage ffs if he says anything about it tell him you'll park there seeing as he doesnt want to use it to stick cars in :)

either that or man the flip up and go speak to him, tell him to stop being such a nugget and try and talk some sense into him you never know he might just be ok

He has spoken to him, try reading the whole thread. :)

So why is he asking for advice when nobody is giving him any and the fact that nothing we say will change the situation.

i lived in a street like this. This is it

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?clien...oid=JYr4eCwRdBFfYJ_8Pk7cJQ&cbp=12,265.74,,0,5

as you can see the top 5 houses on both sides of the street have no off road parkin. There is parking for 3 at the top of the street, but that leaves 7 without parking. But maybe 3 or 4 of those 7 didnt own a car (or couldnt afford one - that sort of area)

One of the neighbours loved parking in such a way that he took up 2 spaces, or parked his car there and left it for 2 weeks non stop while he drove his work van to take up a space. When he couldnt get a space, he would just block all 3 people at the top in and walk off and not answer his door.

When confronted about it, you'd just get a mouthful of abuse.

How did we solve it ?

We moved ..

So there's no off street parking and there's not enough space to park in the street. Park some where else, where there is a space?

In other news, I have a snooker table, and a grand piano, but am having difficulty fitting it into my terraced council house, which doesn't have a snooker hall or a music room.

Go to a pact meeting and get the council to make it permit holder only. That way he has to pay for the extra cars he parks on the street.

Well what else do you suggest Einstein, do you think the police or council are going to bother.

Actually thinking about it cheets, you're actually totally right. I now suggest his pensioner parents start an all out war with their neighbour, great idea.

Alternatively you could (I'll say it again!) try and read the thread and you'll see me offer the unfortunate opinion that little can be done in situations like this without escalating the situation. The guy isn't doing anything 'wrong' apart from being an arse. Jesus you're hard work.

this could be one option

mate of mine lives in leeds in a housing estate near the city centre. Its permit holders only to stop people clogging up their parking with shoppers parking.

As your road appears to have a problem with this also (you mention people parking then walking off) it might be worth approaching the council about it.
