Quite often when I click on a URL or something it bombs out.

It's fine on my 32bit XP systems...

Then fix your installation.

You either have junk installed into Firefox that's making it unstable, or your OS build is inherently unstable.

There is absolutely nothing wrong whatsoever with Firefox on Vista x64.

^^ If you google you'll see there lot's of potential conflicts/issues. I've been through some and none have worked...

Which addons do you have installed?

Adobe Acrobat
DivX Player
DivX Web Player
Google Earth (disabled)
Google Updater
Java Deployment Toolkit
Java Platfom
Microsoft Office 2003
Mozilla Default Plugin
Quicktime Plugni 7.2
Shockwave Flash
Windows Presentation Foundation

Those are plugins. What's being asked for are what extensions you have installed. While you're at it, you haven't even given the Fx version you have installed.

When it crashed, did you get the crash reporter? Did you submit the report? If yes to both of those, it should be listed in about:crashes.
How do you make it crash? Does it still do it in safe mode or with a new profile.

If you google, you'll find lots of "potential conflicts/issues" with anything at all. There is not an inherent issue with using Fx on a 64-bit OS.

He asked what "Add on"... So I went to "Add ons"... Those are the "Plugins Ins" I have...
Extensions are:-
Java Console .0.21
Microsoftr .NET Framework assistant 1.2.1
Skype extention

Version? Well it auto updates, so the latest? 3.6.8?

Yes, the crashes are always submitted if I recall? Can't see anything in "About" aqbout crashes? Next time it happens is there something I could look at there?

Type about:crashes into the address bar...

Looked at about 4-5 at random, and they all seem to refer to Skype!

Seems when I installed Skype, it put an extension or something into FireFox too. I've removed it, and we'll see what happens...

Thanks for the help! Fingers crossed!

I seem to remember some versions of the Skype extension causing crashes.

Almost all Firefox crashes are caused by some kind of extension or plug-in.
