well thought the obligatory in my coffee sensor to tell me the perfect drinking temperature.

Na seriously i want them reading something just for the asthetics of the fan controller,

is it possible to stick them, on VRM's (gpu)memory(gpu) also any other ideas, maybe i should have called this thread "where do you stick yours":D

Depends on how you have laid out your cooling. You want them on components that will be affected by the airflow, but not in the direct path of the airflow itself, so that you get the true temperature of the item being measured causing the change.

e.g. if your RAM is in the path of the airflow, put a sensor on it, but put it on the side that is sheltered from the airflow - that way you get the true temperature and not one influenced by what is effectively wind chill.

Where do you stick them on HHD's

stick one on a HD, one in between some ram modules, one in the mosfet heatsink and one on the side of the psu?

edit: or leave one free in the case to give you ambient case temps?

Got one stuck between the fins of my northbridge heatsink. Others are in the general places; RAM, HDD and wedged between my sound and graphics card.
