England v Pakistan Test Series ** Spoilers**

bank notes found in the hotel rooms of the accused players have matching serials numbers to those handed over by the NOTW reporter.
I would have thought this would be very incriminating. I'd like to see any of the accused players explain how they've got notes with serial numbers that the NOTW reporter can prove he gave to the alleged ringman of all this.

sorry for not responding earlier, I got banned from posting for swearing lol! :D (if it's good enough for Father Ted before the watershed, I don't see why it's not OK here, but anyway...)

I'm not saying ban Pakistan forever, but ban them for a few years. The whole PCB appears to be run by idiots, and this is just the latest thing in a litany of embarrassing incidents surrounding them. I know it would be unfair on any honest players, but by punishing everyone indiscriminately you can ensure that the honest people involved with Pakistan will put pressure on the entire team internally to behave in a proper manner in the future.

Allegations are just coming out this weekend that there's a fourth cricketer involved, and that bank notes found in the hotel rooms of the accused players have matching serials numbers to those handed over by the NOTW reporter. It's all looking like it's true unfortunately.

It's sad that someone as young and talented as Aamir is potentially facing a life ban, and that Pakistan produce lots of talented players who aren't corrupt and yet could be disaffected by this scandal. However Test Cricket is sacred in my view, there's no place in its rich history for a disgrace like this. I think therefore that any punishments should be very severe.

Well i dont see the point of banning Pak from cricket entirely...it makes absolutely no sense for what is essentially punishing the innocent due to the stupidity of 3/4 players now. It definitely wont solve anything and neither will it rid the sport of corruption.

As for the PCB??...ive always said that its high time they got some other people in to run it even if it means getting foreigners in to clear the house so to speak. But that wont happen as not only is the PCB corrupt but the whole govt system is corrupt as they come.

LOL something else that made me laugh was that England have got Mushtaq Ahmed as their spin bowling coach...wasnt too long ago that he was up to no good ie match fixing as well...in fact he was banned for a bit iirc.

The ICC have put pressure on the ECB about him since the spot fixing allegations came out a week or so ago

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/cr...ICC-England-fix-Mushtaq-Ahmeds-role-team.html

Lets hope for Englands sake that he hasnt been up to anything naughty;).

You don't see the point of banning? Go watch SSN for an hour or so more, and I bet that's barely scratching the surface of what the players and ****'s have been up to. No doubt it stretches back a few years, so they definitely need banning for at least 2/3 years imo (with permanent bans of the ones involved in the current team).

Nope i dont...why punish the rest of the team if they have nothing to do with it??...would you say the same about the England team if it was found out that a few of them were also match fixing??...should we ban the whole England team??...no of course not.

Sure ban the players who were involved and anyone else higher up the chain...but to ban other players or the rest of the team is just stupid imo and smacks of bias against the pak team as a whole.

The reason I say ban Pakistan Spawn, is not bigotry at all, I promise! :)
It's just that there's been so many things in their recent history that have been in danger of bringing the game into disrepute... I've listed them all in previous posts. I mean what else can the ICC do? They have to do something drastic to send out the message that all of these incidents must stop.

England have a cleaner record, but if similar allegations were to surface against us, I'd still want harsh punishment; Maybe the same kind of national Test ban sentence, but suspended - so it is enforced if any other kind of shenanigans go on. As well as fines and life bans for the guilty players of course.

I wouldn't be so outraged if this surfaced in the IPL or in ODIs, but as I've said before Test Cricket is special, it ought to have the utmost protection from crooks.

Another crap display by Pakistan, all out for 89

And wtf is this woman doing commentating, who's making the sandwiches? :p

If I had tickets for the one dayers coming up I'd be tempted to send them back for a refund the rest of this tour is just going to be a farce now Pakistan are just going through the motions.

Didnt bother watching this one as i knew we would get thumped...seriously i really do think Pak needs to call it a day and go back home, get themselves together ie clean up the house then play cricket.

This summer has been a complete and utter farce so hopefully Pak will do the right thing and just call the tour off.

Im not watching any of the remaining games as it is...i absolutely refuse to.

Damn you Pakistan, you guys were supposed to give us a stern test before the Ashes, but instead of exposing the gaping flaws in our opening/middle order batsmen, all the controversies and easy wins have covered it up.

This ODI series is now a complete and utter joke, the only reason it's going ahead at all will be for financial reasons... Sad for fans of both sides who will have bought tickets months ago.

They have done that - if the england coaches/manangement do not heed the lessons then we will be trashed by the Aussies. And it might help lessen the silly press hyping up of England's "greatness" before the Ashes.

Do you know what?

Someone mentioned at school yesterday that England were MUCH better than India in all 3 forms of the game. I conceded that they were in T20, but laughed at the claim that they were better in the other two forms. At which point I got a lot of abuse, and told that I was speaking BS. Typical England fans  :p
