Which optician do you use?

Get my eyes tested at Specsavers (free, via work) but always buy glasses online, high street stores are a rip-off.
I've yet to get a decent pair online, found them to be much lower quality than from opticians, also have difficulty getting them big enough for my head (I have a massive head)

I have Specsaver glasses at the mo but have used many others boots local indy, but next week I will be going to D&A, mainly as the glasses are going to be free, company paying...I might get my perscription and get a fashion pair online.

bullit

D&A Atm have had a good service from them

though £25pm on contact lenses is a tad steep

I went in for an eye test today at specsavers for free.

My eye test lady was so much fun to takl to she did every thing to help me figure out what it was.

We did a test which paralyse dmy eye muscles.

It turns out the difference in my left eye to my right is just a discomfort issue which ive been having and i have 20 20 vision :|

I now use Vision Express i have infact been back into the store today to return my Armani glasses that i was not happy with.

They exchanged them for a different set of Armani frames and put a new set of lenses in and i didnt have to pay a extra penny, and the new glasses were made within 1 HR.

Ive found them to be superb in Customer service though they are a little more expensive than other opticians.

I will never use specsavers again as they messed up my eye test and i had a pair of useless £140 glasses for over a month, they assured me after a month my vision would settle and improve this never happened.

I then had a another eye test at Vision Express and then found out my eyes were infact different to the Specsavers eye test, and this is why the Specsavers glasses never worked for me.

Slighty random question, but can anyone recall roughly the turnover in time from having an eye-test to having the new pair of glasses ready to go? It's been so long, I can't recall.

Depends on your prescription and frame selection, a week should be about the maximum, could be as little as same day/next day
I've never had an eye test.
Bully for you!
