Long story short, 9 months later, still not recieved a full and appropiate payment for total loss decision on vehicle. I have plenty of evidence for my case.

I did a search and couldn't find anything relevent but I'm sure there was a post/thread about the best thing to do when submitting a complaint about the poor handling/outcome of an insurance claim to the FSA?

Does anyone know the best way to go with this or have a link / contact address I can write to?

Cheers

just ring the insurance company, normally you need to contact them and they give you the information you need to contact FOS or FSA depending on who would deal with you complaint

*** just checking its the financial ombudsmun services you need to contact not FSA as they deal with selling or products etc

but you need to advise the insurance company otherwise the FOS would just contact your insurer and ask them to contact you

Ahh my mistake, dunno where FSA came from, probably my fit of rage resulted in the first financial related acronym that came to mind :p

I have been through the channels with the insurers own 'quality' department with no success. They are aware I am looking to take the matter further.

So they should provide the relevant contact details?

they should be able to provide you with the contact details for them, the insurance company i work with will send a pack out to the customer to advise they are aware its going further and provides them with certain reference details for when you write to the FOS, i will see if i can dig out any info on the FOS contact details for you :)
