Howdy,

Doing a bit of research, and need some opinions.

Now this is about video games, but I need an opinion of the general public. Can I ask you to say indicate weather option a or b is your preference.

Q. You are playing a musical game much like Rockband or Guitar hero. Would you prefer to play along to tracks by:

A.

a). Well known artists, popular tracks you know.
b). Unsigned bands, unknown tracks you have never heard.

A, knowing the rhythm helps massively when playing a tune, even if it is just tapping buttons.

A. As these are normally party type games, so the more people that know the track the more people can enjoy and get in to it.

Depends on the game, something Audiosurf, then B, mixes it up and it's an interesting way to discover new stuff. I found an awesome Russian ska band through Audiosurf that i'd never have found otherwise.

Something like Guitar Hero though, which is a party game, then A, as no one wants to go to a mates house so we can all rock out to The Bang Bang Timbermen with their awesome hit, In the Teeth of my Chainsaw.
