ungreatfull homeless cat

no ive never brought inside or picked it up , i just wanted to peak my head through the hole to check if its on the ledge or gone down the alley...., i think if i was closer it could have took my eye out....
i dont wanna phone the rspca as there would probably put it down if it dosent find an owner..

It takes a while for cats to give respect out to humans. Giving it food for around two weeks isn't going to earn that respect. They will scam you for food and do one without as much as a thank you, I've been there!

Have you tried taking it to the vet to see if it's chipped so it can be returned to the owner?

At the end of the day it seems like an outdoor cat. Any cat outdoors is completely different to how it might behave indoors as they are heightened alert mode. I'm not surprised it had a go, as someone else said, sticking your head through a hole in front of a cat is asking for trouble.

Cat's are generally ungrateful, they only want to know people when a) they want attention b) they want feeding

Grrrr @ cats

Yeah you don't want your eye being taken out, that would be a catastrophe.

That's one pussy you don't want to poke your nose into!

Sticking parts of your body through holes and expecting good things to happen only works in "special interest" internet videos, real life is different.

You either surprised it or it just doesn't like or trust you. Either stop feeding it or accept that it will take a long time for it to start to trust you enough to be comfortable in your company and show affection.

Maybe the cat was trying to give you a sensual indian head massage as a repayment for all the food, but since it has only had two classes at the local night college, it was a little nervous about giving its very first massage and accidently scratched you in the process? You probably have really knocked its confidence and now the cats college fees have gone to waste you selfish git.

It'll learn to love...

Cats survive fine on their own in the wild usually... stop feeding it and it will quickly find someone else who will.

EDIT: As above their only affiliation is to the tin opener :D

So what do you guys think i should do,personally if i was a cat getting free food , i would not act like that because id know i would be rejected, so why dosent this cat think like that?, that i can decide the cats fate and leave it to defend for its self..

Please tell me you're kidding. If you was a cat you would not think like that, because you're a cat. They don't think like people you know.

Firstly it's an animal - I'm not even sure it can feel what we call "gratitude".

Secondly, make sure it's definitely a stray please. We lost a cat to an old woman because she started feeding it thinking it was a stray. By the time we found out where it was all the time it had already adjusted to living at this old lady's house and wouldn't come back. She thought because we didn't collar the cat (it was electronic chipped instead) that it didn't have an owner.
