Is the GTX worth £100 over the GTX 460 768MB?

Bought my GTX 470 yesterday for £225 and still in the 7 days time period to return. Would it be better just to get a GTX 768MB for £100 less and overclock it.

Im using a 1920 x 1200 monitor playing RTS games like C@C 4, SCII etc

If you only pay RTS games like that then a 470 is way overkill tbh. Still, its nice to have the extra power incase you feel like a change of game.

Yehh I'd just keep it. I don't think its overkill at all to be honest. Nothing better than having some peformance in reserve for those future titles.

Love my 470, really wasnt sure what to expect when I purchased. For some bizzare reason it got bashed on many of the review sites I went to. Easily outpaced my old 280, runs quieter and cooler! Stick with it man :)

Keep the 470 for a 1920*1200 screen. It should "fit" just about perfectly to that resolution.

if you could afford to buy the 470 without leaving yourself skint then you mightaswell keep it. But like phoenix said if you want the £100 that badly..............

Even RTS games can be pretty graphically intense, from my experiance, i remember when COH first came out, and there's been plenty of others, i'd keep the 470

I wont be skint but a £100's not chump change, plus i dont play that demanding games. Anyhow will see once is all installed.
