P.s just downloaded the 3.0 version and its still the same scores as before :( i ran a test on my HDD and tbh.. the read speeds were only just below the ssd. is that normal?

Hey

Looks a little slow read for that disk

Did you enable AHCI in the bios that can improve preformance greatly

Let me know

yep and all the drives dissipear from Bios and "my computer" -_- :( apart from the OS drive (c drive)

I have two sets of sata connectors on my board blue and white. each support 3GBPS but the whites are labled Gsata2 according to the mobo manual and controlled by sata2/jmb322. the blue ones are labled sata2 and controlled by amd sb750. i have the SSD plugged into the white ones

Well im just installing Sims 3 on it! (im only using it for gaming) so i may not be the best judge but form what ive seen so far of the benchmarks and near instant large file transfers:D:D Im very happy with it:D Ill post back after ive tryed a few other games (games that use a lot of texture streaming)

hey

cheers for that will be good to know

:)

Well ive installed Sims 3 and LOTRO. Sims 3 did start up pretty quickly compared to how it used too (the quality is still poor..but thats just because its encoding poorly) Lord of the rings online loading pretty quickly too! :)

If im 100% honest.. its not the increase i imaged... If i could go back in time id have saved the £113 :( lol DOnt think OCUK would let me send it back either now its opended lol Ahh well :P It does work 100% okay now tho and if you use it for o.s i can imagien the start up time would be increase 10 fold!

An SSD for Sims 3? Now I've heard it all :p

Lol Tbh i thought id give it a try. Ive had 4 major upgrades since its release and NONE of them helped the judder you get when you scroll.. thought an SSD may help but alas..not :P It also takes AGES to start up on a HDD.. So i thought i could give it a good test with a SSD. It did start up a lot quicker tho :)

The upgrades were..

1: AMD duel core 6400+ to a am3 955 x4 quad 3.8Ghz (oc)
2: 9500GT to a 285GTX (then to a 4870x2..then to a 5870 >< lol
3: going from ddr2 to ddr3 (with a better mobo)
4: winodws vista to winodws 7.

Still deciding whether to get one of these or not.. mhmmmmm

Everyone says yes, but wallet says nooooooo!

Well i would say NO now after setting it all up.. >< lol :(... wana buy mine for £100?:PIts still under Overclockers guarentee! lol! Im sure it would be fine for a O/s start up.. but for my uses.. its not much cop :( Im going to give it 24hour test (for diff games) and if i dont see anything worse it im gunna put it on overclockers MM
