all i want is the ability to play good quality music and 3.5mm headjack. Simple i know, after a iphone and a dabble in the galaxy s all i really need is a phone and music player combo dont need other features. I would by a cheap phone and an ipod but if im listening to music i never pick up the phone hence i need them combined :(

(budget max is £300.00 but the cheaper the better)

,thxs

what made you get rid of the iphone ? one of the better options for it tbh. any SE or apple usually has the good sound quality but you dont need to spend £300 if those are the only features you need

it was a 3g one i sold it to get the new iphone 4 but i ended up getting a galaxy s but it wasn't for me so i sold that too, and so here i am in need of another phone :D . I was thinking of waiting for nokia X3 touch and type, it looks like it will meet my needs. thanks for the help so for.

Push your budget and get a 16/32GB iPhone 4, untouchable best for a music playing phone tbh.

when a circa £100 nokia or SE musicphone with a big mem card will do the same job...?

he said he doesnt need all the extras so why pay the premium for a fancy screen , processing power etc

Isn't it obvious why?

He'll get more sex with an iPhone ;)

:p

I did. And at the end of the day, you either get a good mp3 player and a good phone, or you end up with a mediocre version of both. The iPhone is the exception to this in the media phone market.

Not at all, the OP needs a combo because they keep missing calls. Devices like the Nokia X3 are fantastic for this.

Get a cheap phone with a strong vibrate and an MP3 player?

Or is it a case that you simply refuse to answer the phone if you're listening to music?

£300  you can get some cheap ass thing from tescos that will do what you want, £25 at most.
and i always think the cheap as chips phones seem to have great reception, well the ones ive had did anyhow

rubbish. SE do a whole range of walkman phones which are exactly what he wants and nokia do a whole range of music phones that are too

you dont need a touch screen and battery eating processor to play mp3s in good quality. infact your probably better off without if you want the battery to last

its typical ocuk for someoene to say cheaper the better and get told UP YOUR BUDGET !

It always extremes here, either a £600 iPhone or £25 supermarket special. :p

I'll stick with my Samsung galaxy tab recommendation for everything :D

Found it okay when I used Opera Mini, could use facebook and ocuk quite happily. The built in browser sucks.

W995 is more expensive than an X10 Mini Pro, which also makes a good walkman phone and has a 3.5mm jack plus android and Qwerty :)
