ok im not advertising this at all but i have just signed up for Dropbox because i needed to transfer some files from my computer to my brothers(who is 250miles away). i was searching the net and found it. seems cool to have free 2gb of storage where ever you are really.

I've got a dropbox account and I also have a skydrive account mapped to my pc using gladinet - free version (a few limitations obviously over the paid version). The skydrive account gives 25GB of free storage as long as the files are less than 50megs in size.
If ms would just get rid of the 50meg restriction (and if feeling generous allowed windows 7 mapping) that would be a killer package in my view.

yeah sure. so you didn't mean to click on the referral links page rather then just select the url? and then you didn't mean to copy the referral links, and then hide it by making the anchor text not have the referral part in it? sure :rolleyes:

but any way dropbox is cool and could have some great potential. also i heard it went mobile recently which would be great when out and about and you need a file

Lies. You've got to dig deep into the site to get the referral link, from the referrals page no less.

I however will shamelessly ask...

Would anyone like to create some accounts from my referral link? :p

It's done per IP so you can't boost your space yourself, I could really do with more space to fit the rest of my uni work (without having it zipped into one massive file that's useless for me).

Don't care if it's just dummy accounts people create, I'll happily do the same for others that need it done. :)

I would just like to apologizes to you all who read this thread. This thread was made my a family member who decided to post the topic trying to get referrals for his own gain under my own username and password(my own fault for leaving myself logged in) I have asked for this thread to be deleted because i do not want to be seen as an idiot.
