The actual story .... probably.

They slept together once, he fell in love with her, she told him to pork off, he gets upset and tries to sue her.

This is probably not the actual story but its what came into my head when I read the article.

I wouldn't be surprised if that was rather close to the truth.
 
The Spears legal machine will swallow the case whole and then spit it back in his face and he probably knows it. Intention is to then probably sell the "story" to some magazine that won't care about evidence and just want their sensationalist claim.
