I think the reviews of ODST are understandable though.
It was kind of a half game as we even knew when we bought it that Reach was on the way as they'd already announced it and were including the Beta access with it.
It was a side story after having finished off the main story arc in Halo 3 so it was never going to be as epic. The environments were somewhat bland compared to on Halo as for the most part its all set in the city. Also I was disappointed in the story in the way that The Rookie never spoke and it was odd that you played all the other characters.
Mutliplayer wise, Firefight was great, but that's all it was. The rest was Halo 3 multiplayer, which most people already had.
Reach is an entirely new game, although of course still Halo.
Halo Wars wasn't Bungie.
