Theoretically, can a UK resident move to the Falkland Islands with ease?

My GFs brother was posted over there for a good few months. Said its the most boring place hes ever been. There is literally nothing there worth going for apparently.

I spent 6 months there. If you like isolation and few facilities then you might like it. There's some nice wildlife out there, ok for a nature holiday if your into that kind of thing.

And to answer the question, yeah take your uk passport and fly to the Falklands. However the housing market isn't huge, swedish style pre-fab home builds are the popular way of getting a new house. When I went there were empty farm houses, maybe you could find an owner and rent one - condition usually quite poor from enduring the south Atlantic weather.

Why do you want it go there? The only good thing about it is that it's ours not the Argie's!

If you do wanna go, why not just join the forces? My cousin in the RAF was posted out there for a while last year.

To answer your question simply... Yes.

Do you really want to move there?

It is deserted, smells like penguin poo and full of military.
