Mafia 2 GTX 480?

Your not alone mate. Hopefully the WHQL drivers which are meant to be coming out on Monday will improve things with this game. :)

Something is wrong with your system if you have physx off and a 480 is juddery.

My setup tends to run mafia 2 fine at 1920x1200, everything max, physx high, AA on.

Performance tends to be 50-60fps, the worst Ive seen it is down to 20 in very rare scenes when you get lots of birds with their physx dresses flapping in the breeze.

Lol,Nothing wrong with my system at all,i have lots of high end games installed a lot more graphically intense than Mafia 2 btw all of which run great.

Other people in this thread are having the same issues as me,the game is simply not brilliant to run atleast not on a 480.

Maybe im a little more sensitive/fussy with the slight stuttering jerkiness with this game than others,like ive already said the the game runs fine and is very playable just not super smooth as it should be when using the best single card around and using dated DX9 Console ported graphics

With an GTX470 I've had the stuttering issues in other games like BC 2 MP and Just Cause 2 when Physx was active. But, in Mafia 2 I have the same stuttering problems from time to time with a 5770 1GB and APEX off. It may be a driver/PhysX problem so you can only wait for an update or a fresh install of Physx.
