2003 BMW 3 Series 320d Sport - Why is this so cheap?

Fair enough, but its a sport model, and the milage is in its mid 50's, thats abit strange given that that the other cars in that price bracket are 320d SE's with 110k on the clock?

To my mind - and hey, I'm no expert! - he's road trippin' in the States at the moment.... :D - it could be priced for those who don't want to pay a premium for "Low mileage" to me its a 7 year old 320d, nothing special, but a nice ish spec none the less.

I'd be far more worried by things like swirl flap failure and its service history rather than overall miles.

Perhaps its a realistic price? or more likely, a scam..... as a lot do indeed seem to be priced higher.

As I said though, £4k is plenty for a 7 year old 320d to my mind.

I only paid £1k more for a 7 year old 7 Series - admittedly, back in 2005, but I'm sure you take the point. :)

I'd be happier with a higher mileage car of that type - who buy s a 320d to do 8k miles a year? If its been used around town a lot, it'll have put more stress on things like the clutch/flywheel than one thats been sat on the motorway.

Look at it! That colour combination is rubbish.

No idea how much these fetch, but I can't imagine it's worth much more than that.. it's nearly 2011, these cars are getting on a bit!

Dont know about price but it looks ok.

Sometimes people just want to get rid of a car and put it up cheap.

My friends sister sold her Civic for 3k, her dad bought it only a year before for around 8.5k. She must have put all of 2000 miles on it. Some people are just stupid lol

She still has not told him how much she sold it for

I wasnt looking at buying it ;) I was just curious as to why it was cheap.

But yes, interior = shocking

Probably about to undergo major turbo failure, see: this.

I was looking at one of these babies at one point, and this seriously put me off - although it is only supposed to affect pre-2003 models, so maybe this guy's just read up on the issue and thought he better get rid of it now?
