C#/Java - beginners guide, anyone know of a good website?

I'm looking for a basic/brand new to C# and Java website that can teach me the basics and a general overall of the languages. I have looked on Wikipedia but i am looking for something even more simplier.

Any ideas?

Or if someone just wants to explain a bit about the languages, how they works and why it's so important?

I'm not being facetious but surely you should know that if you want to use them.

I mean are you familiar with programming at all, trying to learn programming or just learning a different language?

The languages do whatever you program them to do, they are generally used in certain areas though for efficiency and usability reasons.
