Swiss army knife / leatherman tool

Both are high quality tools. Depends what your going to be using it for I guess. I have had the same swiss army knife for 15 years and has never broke.

I once watched a program on how Swiss Army Knives are made and was really impressed with the amount of workmanship that goes into assembly.

Both are excellent. Costco currently have Leathermans in stock and they are fantastic value. Cannot remember which one is in though. Find someone with a CostCo card and go with them.

Swiss army knife - only buy a genuine original one, pick the one that has the gadgets you want on it.

That was on last week :D. Yes, I watch How do they make it etc. As I am a nerd, and love stuff like that!

I love my Victorinox Swiss Army knives.

I have one massive one, another one specifically made for snowboarders  and one new one I got which is a little money clip with a couple of blades and scissors. .

OMG - Victorinox Cybertool :D

Always preferred Leatherman myself - more of a practical tool and very sturdy too. I never really got much use out of my Swiss Army Knife, whereas my Leatherman is often coming to the rescue.

I'd go for a Leatherman personally (have a Wave myself).

A major pro of Leathermans is that they come with a decent set of pliers, which always come in handy.

Build quality is great too :)

I've had a Leatherman PST II for over fifth teen years now, probably gets used or something at least every couple of weeks and still looks/feels like new. Probably the best tool I've ever bought.

For swiss army knives - Victorinox > Wenger

If you need pliers, get a Leatherman, otherwise a good Victorinox will do.

You NEED both types.

I have a Victorniox Cybertool 41 for lighter intricate work.

A Gerber Suspension for more heavier work and kinda proper pliers plus has a full size hex bit adaptor.

The Gerber I have was $28 in the USA two years ago, its been used hulluva lot and is still tight and sharp. For the moneys its amazing.

But may fave is my cybertool, Ive had so many Vic's now but shes my favourite :D
