Wow, it seems all the rage around here. I may as well get on the bandwagon.

I've shopped in the Fiesta for something completely different.

A 2005 Nissan X Trail.

I have a few reasons for the big change.

I blew the engine on my Beetle driving back and now I'm going to start taking to events on a car trailer. The Fiesta didn't have a particularly good rating as a tow car.

Also, the dogs were banned from the Fiesta. It would only take Botox on that upholstery once and it would be ruined. The X-Trail has leather seats, and a plastic lined boot. Wipe clean.

Also, the Fiesta was cursed!

I had a 2005 X-Trail 2.2 DCi Columbia for a few months when the insurance company were making a good job of ruining my Leon Cupra R.

Hateful car, you'll enjoy it no end.

I think I got mud all into the cooling vanes.

Didn't make the drive home down the M1 very successful.

Engine rebuild required. I think I'll need new rings and valves. Hopefully the damage isn't more than that.

Now I've got two 'off roaders' (ish) - and the missus has a 4x4 as well.
