W/C - How much is enough?

Vcore is 1.225v llc enabled.

Have had this chip at 4.4ghz on air for some benching, not really pushed it under water yet. I think i'm getting old i'm not too fussed with bleeding edge overclocks anymore i just like peace and quiet :)

Can I hate you now? Especially with QPI that low! :p

Well mate ;) my i7 930 is stable at 4ghz with 1.25c cpu and 1.25v qpi with my memory at 1600mhz :D

Ive not taken it any further yet but im sure it would do very well.

This is on my RIIIE and the volts i used are the first settings i tried so there could possibly be potential for lowering them yet.

Nice volts jeffy, would love to see if that was folding stable at those volts though, as iv noticed i can be prime stable lower then my current vcore (1.275), but it will give me random BSOD's when folding so i had to up mine abit.

Think my average temps when folding with a pa 120.2 are mid 60's, so abit higher then jeffy but with a slightly higher vcore though.

It's the same oc i have run for ages, i just primed it for 25mins to get a rough temperature when i put it under water. It was propery tested overnight yonks ago.

Yup, as I've said in the foldyforum, distributed computing is like running Prime95 not just for 8 hours to prove your stable but 24/7

But I think I can officially hate you now too with your low voltage i7 :p

He's only been running prime for 15 minutes in that screenshot, that doesn't mean anything.

Oh get outa here, we know JeffyB's overclock is stable.

Ignore him, still a great rig and great chip, I've got three i7 920 D0 and they are all different performers. Some need loads of QPI some are happy with less, some hit 4.2 with ease, some struggle to reach 4.0Ghz  :)
