It's LucasArts week on Steam!

Its alright with the last patch but to me, and i really wanted to like the game too, just felt so boring playing some unknown sith and even tho its pretty as hell and the physics are awesome in it, it just feels so like their is no depth. It is basically run about in massive levels and thats it. If their was a lot more interactive cutscenes where u can pick responses and have a slight and i mean slight rpg system for weapons and skills well ok it has skills but so badly implemented and difficult to use cos of the interface etc.

I duno why they keep making games outside of the episode 4 5 and 6 and trying other stuff. It just makes me mad and depressed. Now if the game was actually a retelling of the story of the film but in game form with u being luke and enemy was darth or the emperor and used this game then it would be instant smash hit for me as long as they had some space battle sequences and the death star with proper voice overs from original cast. Tho they would need to sort their consolitis interface out.

I know nothing about Star wars but all reviewers have praised the SW:TFU story.

Was slightly interested until I saw the 30gb HD requirement. Thats HALF my SSD!! O f which only 19.2 GB is free anyway :(

You won't have to download it all at once. Just download the games you want to play and delete them if they are crap or you want to download something else.

The Force Unleashed itself is 30GB, not the whole LucasArts pack. Is that what you thought? :p

If I didn't already have some of those games in my Steam account then I may have been slightly tempted. Will keep an eye out for a few of them coming to the one day sales.

they decided uncompressed textures would be a brilliant idea, shame that the texture quality is ps2 level but hey Uncompressed ps2 textures have to be awesome right!?

yeah, no.

Hopefully Jediknight and Academy will pop up. Been long time since played them, should be worth taking a visit back to it. I think there was a big overhaul mod aswell, remember reading about one quite a while back.

For Force Unleashed, if you can get past the shambolic console portyness, crud graphics on the early levels, then there is still worth in playing it. I thought all the boss fight cutscenes were great and even though it rips to shreds the StarWars story I'd still say its worth a fiver. I'm actually looking forward to Unleashed 2 after completing the first one.

If you don't play The Force Unleashed with an Xbox Controller, you're pretty much going to have a hard time at the Star Destroyer part in the game, man it took me several rage moments to do it.

Hah so true, I gave up and put it on the easy setting and just stood there pulling it down, took forever.

Forgot about Republic Commando, very fun game, I think there was rumor of a new one being made very recently, I hope so.

Thank you for your purchase!
A receipt will be emailed to you shortly.

for a fiver could not say no, ta for heads up :)

i had the original on the PS3

just purchased it on steam for a fiver ahead of the release of Force unleashed 2 in october hopefully not as bad as people make out i thought it was OK on the PS3

As epic as they were, would they even run on Windows 7?

If third parties can get them working on Vista, I don't see any reason why it wouldn't be the case for 7.

I'm hoping GOG can make a deal with Lucasarts to sell them, they actually bother making compatibility changes unlike Valve...

Anyone know if KOTOR on steam is capable of widescreen or do you still have to change one of the files?
