I am currently building a system and i really cannot decide between the two motherboards. I was going for the asus but the Gigabyte is very appealing...very confused.

Any suggestions ?

There are 2 version of the P6X58D, the E and the Premium, which one are you referring to?

The "E" really is great value for money and it is very difficult to see how Asus can charge almost £100 extra for the "Premium" over the "E"

If you do not need any of the extra "features" of the UD7, I would get the "E" and save the £130 and put it towards better hardware bits...

Hi wenzu1989

welcome to the forums :)

the d-e is a great board, you wont be dissapointed.

if you have to ask, then the UD7 probably isnt for you

Well i will be using many features - i will be having a lot of HDDs, a wireless and possibly 2 GFX.

Which one would you suggest - let us assume that I have a very good budget which one should i buy ?>

Save yourself over £100 and go for the Asus P6X58D-E. When i buy mobo's i allways try and get the best mobo i can with in a given budget, i could have gone for the premium or other £200+ mobo's, but to me they offered nothing over the cheaper Asus P6X58D-E.

It truly is a cracking mobo.

If you're using 2x graphics cards then beware of the slot spacing on both of those boards, they are only single slot spaced so if you are using cards with dual slot coolers then you may have airflow issues.
You could also move one card to the lower 8xPCI slot on the p6x58d, not so sure about the ud7.
