I would get 50mb if I had the money, theres no bandwidth limits as I understand.

That's correct no restrictions on service.

I had a few issues with the upgrade from 20 to 50 and VM couldn't figure it out so i went back to basics and installed a new coax cable around my house and new isolator and since then 2 days full speed.

Well VM never showed up on Wednesday. Wife waited in all day for the goon but he never showed. They decided to reschedule it for next Wednesday. I went mental on the phone and demanded a compromise so they are coming tomorrow between 1 and 6. They better show, absolutely disgusting from them.

What I wanted to ask is there a way to distribute the bandwith to different apps? I use grabbit to download and it obviously downloads at full speed so if I want to game online or surf it's really slow. Is there a way to say downloading is 45mb and gaming 5 mb for example?

Use netlimiter or look at using QoS on your router.

Thanks. I'll look into that. I was getting confused before as I thought the new virgin modem was a modem and router in one but the engineer has given me the new modem plus a router.
