Whoops, someone let it get out on the ring.

I posted this on another forum about a different prototype car but it's relevant here now as someone has asked...

The wrap is just to cover up what the shapes of the car are to make it less obvious. In the flesh it won't have a massive effect, but in photos it does make it hard to work out the shapes of the cars, the wraps vary between companies and vehicles, for example here are some more in concept/preproduction/prototype testing:

BMW X1
Audi A1
BMW F10 M5
BMW F30 3 Series

Oh and, liking the M5. :cool:

That shape looks like a Proton or something!
 
With all the swirls etc. and likely lacking of grille you really can't see what it's meant to look like...not sure if that's a 5 or a 3 in the background either...looks 5ish?
 
Saw it testing a few months back whilst out the ring:

At the time when we were there it looked like it was being benchmarked against the XFR, E63, Panamera Turbo and the old M5
