Compulsively Noisy Colleagues...

hmm the girl who house shares with me, has this annoyingly loud northern boyfriend, He must talk 99% of his life and she only get a few words in. Yea that really annoys me but i stay in my room most of the time.

For the last two and half years I've worked with only women and they sometimes forget there's a man in the office.
None of them have been noisy though but one does laugh a lot.

I work for a small company too, Its only me an another guy in our "department" and he’s pretty much the same as OP describes, he also makes up words for the songs on the radio and repeats it over and over.

Today it was THIS (woohooo...)

I’m just glad I don’t work in the warehouse very much, I’m not sure I could take eight hours of gay innuendos and inappropriate touching

I work in quite a large open plan office and there's a guy down the other end in the procurement who always shouts when he's on his phone .... it's annoyingly loud and I'm best part of 20m away.

We've also got people who are loudly coughing and sneezing at the moment, (we're talking sneezes which are violent enough to make us expect the content of our desks to jump into the air).

Still less annoying than the idiots who leave their mobile phones on their desks when they leave it ...

Kinda on topic but are 'normal offices' quiet? People sitting quietly and working? A bit of chat sometimes but normally people working away in silence?

I am still new to this 'office' thing and only worked for 2 companies. One being educational and the other an online e-tailer.

I think this is a perfect case to start executing office pranks on him as a collective, until he gets the message at least!

Depends, most larger companies have quite an active office especially if they employ the younger staff, with everyone chatting all the time and messing about the job im in at the moment is a smaller staff base, we have our laughs :D but then there are quiet times when people are getting on with their work.

I prefer it like that I used to get way to distracted working in a busy office

I worked in a small work place with 4 other people. One of them being a total outspoken retard - One of the reasons I left. He was only a temp but I couldn't really put up with his **** all day.

Yes, yes, he bought one of those when the football was on.

Didn't use it much, thankfully.

We do prank him quite often, he just never seems to realise. He moans about the pettiest of things being out of place, so we make sure they're out of place. The pranks can't go too far though, he is the MD's son after all, and will be in charge one day.

The current manager just lets him get on with it now, after many times of complaining to the MD and getting almost nowhere.

Anyway, I look forward to another day of 'All That She Wants' and assorted Christmas carols tomorrow.

I fully appreciate that wherever I work, there will be one like him. However, I'll make sure I work in a larger company for my next job, that way it'll be more 'dilute', and easier to pull pranks. :p
