I have a number of friends from my old clubbing days, and we all partied and hung out together for 6 years, from the ages of 16-18.
We're now all in our late twenties and early 30s, and I have noticed a weird rise of hippy/esoteric/lame comments by way of bookface.
What instigates the need for 'inspirational' quotes or messages about positive vibes, being empowered and other such dross?
Are they do miserable that they have to put on this public façade of how good they are?
Now don't get me wrong, I'm no curmudgeonly buzzkill, I'm actually perfectly happy with my lot in life, but I don't feel the need for all this existential codswollop.
Some examples:
Sending out lots of love and positive vibes today
xx
Life is not about the people who act true to your face.......... It's about the people who remain true behind your back.

Urgh!
Anyone else have friends seemingly suffering from an early mid-life crisis?
