hi guys, finished building my new rig last night and i have installed windows on it next thing is all the drivers, I read somewhere that its best to let windows install some drivers without using the CD's but what drivers do i need to install using the cds and what ones should i let windows sort out heres a list of what i got in it

mobo - asus P6X58D-E
gpu - asus gtx 470
rom drive - samsung DVD writer
keyboard - logitech G15
mouse - logitech G500

is there anything else i need to install??

also how do i check i have my H50 cpu cooler connected properly and making contact?

cheers guys.

Normally I just let windows sort out the drivers first, then run the manufacturer's CD. Often the drivers on the CD will be older than the ones Windows installs anyway.

In fact it's often better to go Asus's site and download the latest drivers to ensure you get the best performance and stability.

Yeah I do that also, the annoying thing about the download page for my crosshair iv though is that they leave all the old stuff up to download at the same time and its jumbled around so sometimes the newest isnt highest on the list etc.
I know its a different board, so not sure if its the same in that models case too.

Dave.
