I'm just curious about how many people are excited about this or even support the idea of the Olympics coming to the UK.

Please vote :)

Hell yes. Just what this country needs, an international showcase. It might even help us from not going down the pan completely.

Yes.

I think it will be fun and exciting for the world and even more so for this country.

I will enjoy watching most of the events. :)

Couldn't care less where it is held. Makes no difference to me, ill probably watch some of it on tv but wont be going to london to see it

I live 8 mins away by train and i really don't care. All it means to me is a higher council tax bill

I can see both sides, hence the pancake vote.

It's nice to have it but it's going to make getting around London an even bigger nightmare than it is now with the overcrowded underground.

This, why London, why not another city, London has had it three times now, will watch it on tv and would never even think about going to London, all the immigrants, crime and over priced hotels, food and beer that no doubt will go up because of the "games"

thats little narrow minded, think of the exposure to actual history in the making...seeing the architecture of the new stadiums. I think itll be a very special moment in our modern history.

What other city in the UK has the infrastructure to hold the games? Or do you think the UK should host them?

Hell yes I'm excited, if I can afford it and find some tickets then I'll be going to a few events. Preferably some of the track and field but I'd be very interested to see some of the water based events too - the canoeing, rowing and sailing are all traditionally quite strong events for Team GB.

im really looking forward to the judo, and being in Southampton ill be going to watch some of the water based sports..

I would have set it up as to whether folks would prefer the World Cup or the Oymipcs here then you would see the apathy

The whole of England could have had it, we are a tiny country, Manchester held the commonwealth games without a problem.

No doubt all the infrastructure will just rot away in London after the games, even the main stadium is being dismantled to a smaller capacity, WHY?
