anyone ever got their contract bought out?

After a new phone as i have no signal in my new house and orange don't seem interested I want rid.

Anyone ever used phones 4 u to get rid of their contract?

I did this on my last contract, seemed pretty simple really. They gave me cash instore to cover the remainder (2 months) of my contract, and I took out a new contract with them at the same time.

My friend did the same, he had 6 months left, they gave him £150 cash back to cover the remainder and he took out a new voda contract.

Would this work with a iphone 3gs that only about 3-4 months old and on a 24month contract, i guess i would need a heavy settlement payment dohhhh!

you settled into a 24 month contract for a 3GS when the iPhone 4 was only about a month away?

If you want a new phone, sell the 3gs and buy it yourself. Phones4u won't buy you out of that, and settling for hundreds of pounds with your operator is a waste of money.

Never again would I settle to be bought out, specially with phones4u. I sat there they did there fancy talking, I ended up paying for 2 contracts and the cash they said they would pay me kept getting delayed somehow. Awful experience.

Are you aware of the upcoming network merge? Have you signed up to trial it? This might fix your signal problems but no promises.

I managed to get my wife out of her contract with three due to no signal in house. Still had over a year left on the contract and they just cancelled it after two phone calls. We even got to keep her phone too. Went to phones 4u and got a x10 mini pro on O2 + £100 cash for her old phone, free Bench phone case and I managed to get a Vodafone 3g dongle for free too which was nice... Although I don't think the store manager was happy with the deal.
