Sounds cool. As a "sticks" resident myself, I'd love to see something like this near me, but I don't imagine that'll happen anytime soon! The pricing structure seems really fair, but the unspecified "high initial outlay" on equipment at the home seems interesting - I wonder how much this ends up being! Are there any vfast customers on OcUK, I wonder!

I use vFast but I have line of site with one of the main masts in the area (10mb down 2mb up).

vFast have been working with Kent County Council to bring high speed broadband to those areas not served in the usual fashion. The initial cost of such installations are likely to be partly funded by working with KCC.

Any one who wants BB in the stick needs to get together with their neighors and then there are several alternatives available.

what is the latency like, and how many people are you potentially sharing the spectrum with?

I don't know how many are connected through the same mast as myself but the contention is 30:1 for the 10mb down 2mb up OR 15:1 for 10mb down/up.
