Confused about other people

In school I was an oddball, I was the one people copied off but at the same time I got on well with and hung around with both the "cool" kids and the nerds. I also hung around briefly with the skanky druggy kids who would do nothing but cause trouble, so much so that once this girl called HANNAH GURDLESTONE spat down the stairs which landed on our English teacher's hand and I got the blame for it ;-(

It upped my cool points but it sank my pocket money :(

I was a freak of nature y0!

Heck even to this day I hang around with those same cool kids and nerds but I left behind the skanky kids long time ago.

No offence Anan, but you seem to come across a right girl. I had this problem until I just went crazy one time at school, no-one really messed with me after that :\

Did you threaten them with chairs and start at least 100 fights?

I'd figure out how to use commas, maybe that is why you are being bullied?

Just get on with it would be my advice, don't turn round and batter people, you're only there for a small period of your life. School life doesn't determine who you are nor do you actions necessarily determine what you'll become. Everyone has rubbish periods in their life you just have to figure out what you want from the opportunities that you have and figure out a way out of the situation you think that you are in.

If you count class tables as well, and turn the 100 fights to 10 then I think you're on to a winner. ;)

But I had more at college, I seriously look back and think to myself, I stood my ground, but damn I acted like an idiot.

I used to get bullied at school. At first I tried to ignore them, like so many people advised me to do, but in reality it doesn't work, and they'll get more and more severe in their bullying to see just how much you can take.

Eventually I started standing up for myself, and actually got quite violent on a few occasions. I wasn't bullied much after this, however, the teachers said I now had a reputation as a bully because of the fighting, even though it was just retaliation against bullying.

Hated school, and all the stuck-up ignorant teachers there. I don't hate the bullies, they were just kids being kids, but there's no excuse for the ignorance of the adults there, who watched me get bullied for years, then suddenly had a problem when I decided to turn the tables.

to the OP. you're there to learn and believe it or not, things don't get much better in the big wide world, it's still dog eat dog in one form or another. get your head down, get good grades, get a good job and have a laugh at what are now ''the cool kids'' when they are working rubbish jobs and you are succesful. but stand up for yourself a bit more and don't show that anything is affecting you, they'll soon get bored.

I never got this reputation, the people I had fights with got excluded/suspended, nothing was said to me. I don't know why, I'm lucky in that sense.

Take a multi and lift heavy (half srs) Get your weight up, get stronger and so will your confidence in yourself. My fear was of being weak, helpless, etc... now I'm quite confident in me being able to handle myself, should the need arise. brb fish finger sandwiches

That just appears to be how the society works: if you're big, no one will step out of line. If you're perceived as vulnerable in any way, you're completely pounced on. To me, that makes it sound like the bullies are in fact the cowardly ones, because they won't try to take on anyone who is bigger than them.

I'll tell you now for fact that is complete rubbish. I'm 6' 6" and a pacifist. People always take the rise out of me being tall. Heard them all.

I've always seen violence causes more problems than it ever solves. I've been mugged twice just because they wanted to have the challenge of taking on the tall person.

If anything else tall people are more picked on because smaller people want to get a reaction out of you or want to take on the challenge of taking down the tall one so to get respect from others.

In my eyes it is pathetic. I get on with almost everyone and just get on with life.

I'm very open about things and accept everyone for who they are. Banter is acceptable and when people take the rise out of me like: 'Alright Green Giant' or 'HOHOHO' I laugh with them and take it as a joke. There were times that I took it as abuse but it dawned on me that I would always have the rise taken out of me for being tall. So I decided to accept it and it actually turned out for the best.

Everyone seems to fit in at uni, god knows how some of my course mates can but everyone has there own gang.

In the mean time, self confidence is your biggest downfall. I was a cocky **** back in school ( 'slightly' less so now) and I got teased for being a cocky ****, but as I was a cocky ****, I didn't care :p

Impress them all with what will be the most amazing pc build the world has ever seen!

But seriously, as asakura797 has said, people will be picked on/bullied and worse for any reason and no reason.

I take it your just starting your A levels at this place ?

I feel for you mate. As you've said above, when you're in uni, that will all change. You'll come out of your shell. Chin up son :)

If someone insults you, insult them, if someone punches you punch them.

If they win the fight, then dont feel bad, the war is still on, they have just won the first battle. If it seems you cannot beat them in a fight, then just get them drunk, drug them, and throw them into a canal.

Do you eat the fish finger sarnie before or after you go to the canal, pratinum?
