Monkey Island 1 + 2 (Special Edition) Bundle on Steam

Ok so I own the original Special Edition Monkey Island 1.
I noticed that there is an option to buy the new bundle as a gift. My question is.

Am I allowed to buy this, gift Part 2 to myself and then sell the first one on? Or is this a nono?

Well I assume the game is supposed to be a gift. So surely Steam would give you the option to gift it to someone?

(Honestly, Im not sure about this as Ive never done gifting via steam before).

you have to be careful as if you bought the 2 games in teh bundle, you might not get the one you previously had as a gift to send on. this was the case when people bought the stalker bundle a few weeks ago, if you owned the first stalker you didnt get it as a free gift.
for the sake of £1.74 or however much it is, best to play it safe and just buy the games individually and gift the ones you want to?

Oh absolutely. Tbh, I was just checking. But a classic game for under 4 quid... no brainer for me Monkey Island series has a special place in my heart
