New 6 - She's a looker!

For me it has definate hints of the DB9 from the side. I like the rear much more than the current 6 too. Front lets it down but it's still a big improvement on the current mode imho.

is it just me that feel slighty upset, maybe disaproving of bmw going down this turbo charging route? Just not bmw. Turbos are for diesels.

For ///M cars I agree they should be large capacity, naturally aspirated engines, which is why the new M5 upsets me. However for things like the 335i, I see no issue with having a fun snail.

In an ideal world I agree. Unfortunately emissions regs have put an end to that.

Day running lights....

The 'bull poo' is about Day Running Lights not LED's. Many manufacturers have chosen to use LED's for this function after BMW themselves had been using the signature angel eyes for many years. Current BMW's have DRL's in the form of the angel eyes.

To add a stupid LED strip, which to me screams 'We wish we'd thought of Angel eyes first' on other cars, therefore seems really silly :(

100 times better than the ugly sorry absolutely fugly 6 series i see running about now. Why anyone would get one of those is beyond me but each to their own.

But the new 6 series does look the part now...very very nice indeed.

I'm sure you would.

Why not go into that guys Mazda3 thread and say it looks nice but you'd prefer a new Porsche Cayman instead?

Because the price differential between a Mazda3 and a Porsche is less than the price differential between a 650i and a CL500!

The CL range starts at £90,000. A 650i costs £62,000.

Slight difference, don't you think? The two cars are not even on the same page. The 6 is a 5 Series Coupe, the CL is a luxury flagship S Class coupe!

Which 406? Even the 406 coupe looks NOTHING like that.

First thing I thought when I saw the pictures was 406 coupé. It does have a very similar profile, as well as a few other similar styling cues.

It's certainly not an ugly car, but its not going to blow the minds of anyone who thought the old 6' was ugly.
