At least it was a newborn baby, the pain and suffering of the child would have been far greater had it been aged 5-15... :(
Absolutely agree with you Fox.

How very sad and depressing. :(

Other than the fact she'll grow up thinking that she was responsible for her parents death?

Thats very unlikely given she... isn't responsible for her parents death, but how is that worse than the same incident happening on the way home from visiting a 10 year old daughter? She won't even have known them.

Luckily this girl will never know her parents and won't be going through the truama of losing a loved one.

That may be true, but remember bruce wayne. He carried the guilt of his parents through his life because if he wasn't at the theatre they wouldn't have left early. If she wasn't born then her parents wouldnt have made that journey.

Although not her fault, all it takes is for some insensitive ***hole to point it out.

+1

Was thinking this earlier. The child's guardian will seem just like any other. Would be much worse if this happened years down the line.

how on earth did batman get into this thread?

i think that unfortuanetly, as the baby grows up, inevitabley she may feel guilty due to the circumstances but this is just cruel fate

I disagree. Not knowing anything about your family can be a lot more painful than losing someone you love.

Just.. ok, I dont want to argue in a thread like this.

No no, Im not looking for an arguement. From personal experience at my school someone was bullied for the loss of their parents at a young age (yes, children can be nasty but even this saddened me at the time).

As a baby she wont remember any of it, you are correct - I just hope she doesn't have to deal with anyone who makes her feel responsible when she is older.

Thanks that made me laugh after a reading a terribly sad couple of stories.

Remember Bruce Wayne :D

Neither you nor I can say what is likely in a case like this, neithe rof us have experienced it. I simply pointed it out as it is possible.

She may end up being raised by grandparents or other family, and she also has a 9 year old brother. They will talk about her parents, she will learn about them and maybe even the 10 year old will blame her!

They say accidents are more likely to happen in the last few minutes of journeys as you let your guard down due to familiarity etc.

Big shame, really is horrible. Hopefully family members will step up
