Hi guys

Ive been looking at buying these speakers for ages however my only concern is the bass control.

My understanding is there is 3 levels for bass you can adjust,im using Creative speakers at the moment that have a manual bass control which is ideal for controlling the bass.

What is the bass like using the 3 levels on the Acoustic Energy Aego i have to think of my neighbours and i dont want a really heavy bass when its on the minimum level which i assume will be 1 with these?

I suppose i could manually control the bass via my sound card?

Hi there, my parents have a couple sets of these speakers and I have found that the "1" (lowest) bass setting is pretty OK, certainly not overpowering. I usually have it on "2" for a bit of punch.

As you say, if you still find "1" too bassy then you can still control it with your sound card.

I have gotta say, really happy with these speakers - excellent sound quality (mainly used with music) and the satellites are tiny.

Hi there thanks for the reply, ive just ordered these after wanting these for so many years after the brilliant reviews ive read.

Ive also ordered a Xonar Asus Xonar DG 5.1 http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SC-011-AS&groupid=701&catid=11&subcat=

Purely because i miss havng Dolby headphone which my XFI hasnt got.

Im hoping the Xonar DG will be ok for normal music, games through the speakers compared to my XFI.

Im hoping the quality wont be lacking compared to my XFI through the speakers,i know already what the sound is like through headphones so im ok there
