Ok, some background info. I train Muay Thai 6 days a week, around 4 hours a day (morning and afternoon session).

For the last ~10 days I have been 'stuck' at between 104 and 105kilos. On Friday just gone I did not train and left for Hong Kong, came back Sunday evening. I took a break from training Mon and Tues and went back for the first time since Thursday of last week in this afternoons session.

Over the Fri>Sunday time I did not eat particularly well due to the hectic schedule. Even a McDonalds chicken nugget meal or 2 in there. Not great but I was starving and had no real choice. Anyway, that's besides the point.

I weigh myself today and I am 102.0 dead. Why stuck for 10 days at 105 and then go away, don't train for 5 days, don't eat great and manage to drop 3 kilos?

I have heard of calorie bursting, is it something like this? Even though the food was not great, I don't think I was taking in a HUGE amount of calories though.

I am quite baffled, it's not the first time it happened. I was 118kg and out for a week with an injury and went back at 115. I did not eat badly but I had no real exercise.

Any ideas?

One explanation is that you're in Thailand and so you're drinking a lot of water throughout the day because of the heat. Hong Kong was quite a bit cooler and you probably didn't drink as much, which explains the lost weight - water weight.

I reckon that'll be that. Which is kind of cool, because when you do your final weigh in and come back home, you'll probably lose a little extra weight.

You're almost down to the magic 100 barrier, keep going!

Stop weighing yourself so much?

It will just get you down, look in the mirror to notice the difference. Weigh yourself less often.

Why would it get me down if the weight is dropping? I need to weigh to keep tabs as I do not see difference in myself easily.

I am 25kilos down and I do not really notice it other than clothes fitting. I do not own enough pairs of smaller clothes to keep targets by fitting into a progressively smaller size so the scales will do for now :p

There are stages in body fat where you will not notice the weight change visually. I think it's like between 13-18% you will not look too different or something like that.

~2 and a half days of not eating very well, I still eat. Please read.

And no, I do not think it is normal for such weight to be lost in the circumstances. 5-6kilo difference in a 7 day period?
