Formula 1 2010

Anyone know if it will be DX11? Have heard they are patching it in after, strange

Being Codemasters, who (in)famously delayed the PC release of Dirt 2 to add DX11, I'd have thought that this (based on the same engine) would also be DX11?

Or am I just confused...?

Many thanks to everyone who answered, so I'm going to keep the rest of my setup the same and upgrade just the graphics card. (may overclock the CPU)

Out of these two (or three, if you think the 5830, is worth the extra money) cards what would you say would be best?

HIS ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB £109.26

Asus GeForce GTX 460 Direct CU TOP 768MB £124.98

Or for an extra £22, I could get (is it worth it for me, woiuld I actually see any noticeable difference)

HIS ATI Radeon HD 5830 1024MB £146.86

Cheers again!

Matt :-)

Get the 460, then with the extra money you were going to spend on the 5830 get a decent CPU cooler and get that CPU to 3GHz+ ;)

to be fair if u have a ps3 might as well get it on that a lot more cheaper.

That depends how serious you are about racing games.

You won't get all of the mods that will be made for the PC version, plus a properly sorted PC will be able to run the game at higher settings.

There's nothing to doubt.. The game will use Dirt 2's Evo engine, which already has DX11. This game will have DX11 too.

Well it hasn't got DX11 out of the box. Codemasters have said they'll release a DX11 patch later. Hope they get it to work without crashing all the time, as in Dirt2.

I've had Dirt 2 since release and only had one crash (which was due to unpluggin the controller for some reasons).

I'm looking forward to F1 2010, though I'm going to be absolutely **** at it :)

You guys going to play this with steering wheel? Which?
I've been looking for a decent one for a while (One that isn't going to cost £100+)

I always use a keyboard and I only ever loose out on the start compared to the ppl with steering wheels, even managed to spend a bit of time in the top 1000 of Grid! When I have been looking at wheels the ones under £100 seem really cheap and flimsy but I can't justify spending £100+ just to get a better start.
