Mass Effect 1+2 worth playing?

So after finishing another play through of KOTOR thanks to steam, and almost finishing Dragon Age I was wondering if the Mass Effect games were worth a play through. :confused:

I must admit I wasn't into this kind of game, tried playing Baldurs Gate and couldn't get into it, but something about Dragon Age hooked me, and now I want more.

oh you'll get more, they are both fantastic and there's probably 60-70hours of game play in each (you'll want to complete each at least twice!).

play the first one first. and if you get them on the pc dont be tempted to cheat. as fun as it is running around with absurdly powerful guns and shields, it takes a large part of the experience away at the same time.

I would say ME1 is more like Dragon Age TBH, ME2 is less RPG more Shooter both games are definatly worth playing. Personally I prefered Dragon Age to Mass Effect ( 1 and 2) though.

Yes, yes and yes.

Mass Effect 1 has some cut & paste filler missions in it but the story is amazing. The story in Mass Effect 2 isn't quite as amazing (as you'd expect from the middle game in a trilogy) but there's zero filler missions.

Two of the best games that I've ever played.

Mass Effect 1 and 2 are the only reasons I keep my 360.

I wasn't initially won over by the changes in ME2, but overall I think it may be one of the best games that I've ever played, at least in terms of production quality and atmosphere. In the last two it easily trounces Dragon Age, which as a Baldur's Gate fan-boy I should love much more.

I didn't play much of ME1. Playing ME2 at the moment though and loving it, fantastic game.

It took me 2-3 goes to get into Mass Effect 1 but by god when I did, I couldn't get enough. The Mass Effect games simply are the best games ever made.

Mass effect 1 is the better game imo so get that, play through, if you like it then you know your going to love ME2.

I've only just finished my seventh play through of Mass Effect (Has taken me about two years though) and now in to my first of Mass Effect 2. Damn good games I think.
