Anyone got the Cowon J3?

Ive gone and ordered the 16gb version on a pure impulse. I really hope I don't regret it.

Anyone else got one and is there anything I should know before it arrives?

I've going to be using it with some UE700's and Audio Technica ES7's, and a various selection of full size cans while at home via my headphone amp.
 
The UI might take some getting used to, but be prepared to have Audio bliss. There really isnt anything that compares in sound quality. It will amaze you :)
 
I've heard it's comparable to my X1060, so the sound and video quality should be excellent, you're in for a treat mate.:)

My first major MP3 purcase since buying 60gb Zen Vision M (which is being relegated to the car).

I'm going to be terrified of taking it out the house until I get myself a case for it though. Trawling through a thread on head-fi looking for some recommendations right now.
 
It's arrived.

Well you guys were right, it sounds insanely good straight away without any fiddling. Then I decided to enable one of the sound enhancing BBE settings.. :o

Going back to have more play time with it.
 
I'm now looking into messing around with the custom UI's :p

The battery life on this thing is incredible, I charged it when it arrived and I've used it for approx 30 hours and it's still above 50%. I guess it's not hard to impress me in terms of battery life coming from a rockboxed Clip+ that can barely last 12 hours!
 
I just ordered the 16GB J3, after about a months of research on various PMPs.

The place I ordered it from also has 10% off everything until this Friday (24th). So I bought the official leather case for it too so it's doesn't get ruined.

The joke is, for such a device well known for its high quality audio, I'll probably only get the CX 300-II earphones for it. :o I just don't fancy spending £60 on earphones that could well break from being in my pocket within a few months.

Personally, I don't see the point in buying a top end player and using the stock/cheap phones with it mate, as that player is good enough to benefit from high end IEM's, let alone £60 phones.
 
It arrived today, but they haven't packed the case that I ordered with it! I hope they don't turn around and say they did send it and rip me off! So for now the J3 has to stay in it's box just in case I have to return the order. Really annoyed because I was hoping to use it tomorrow.

You're right, I'll invest in something slightly better.
 
I got an iAudio S9 32 gig a while and it's absolutely insanely good. Audio quality is crazy, and that's not even the best part. The sexy OLED screen has meant I've finally got around to watching Dexter... and I'm addicted :D

Cowon are seriously at the top of their game right now!
 
Great PMP - I ordered the 32GB version from the 'place above that had 10% off for a week' and am really pleased.
TBH, I have never been disappointed with Cowon players, my last one being an A2 from 2007.....since then, have had a couple of Archos' and now back with Cowon.

Generally have Shure e3c's plugged in for 'proper' listening, but crack out some Sennheiser PX200s for more casual use. Great player, great audio - nuff said :D
