Autotune

The amount of auto tune on daytime radio 1 is pathetic. Why does a radio station that prides it's self on pioneers like peel have all this attune nonsense. The show producers should be ashamed for giving it airtime

Give 6 Music a go, daytime Radio 1 is borderline torture...

sad thing is that antione remix is better than most rnb from the last 10 years its got that old school 90's feel and hes probably more intresting than most people in the music industry

Absolutely.
I typically can't stand R'n'b, or Rap or 99% of any modern music for that matter like indie or pop or metal. Saying that, there's actually some good blues acts around these days and a slight revival of older styles of rock.
But I do really like that track, and the gregory brothers in general, but that's deffinatly their best.

Kanye West didn't make Autotune popular. T-Pain popularised it.
Why would Jay-Z use Autotune for ? :D Mostly singers use Autotune.

Why are people so uptight about Autotune? So what if it makes the singer sound better. It's just music.

It doesn't make the singer sound better, it makes them sound like Alvin and the Chimpunks.

What chipmunk sound are you talking about? Example?

Well I didn't mean it will make a absolutely terrible singer sound great. I know what Autotune is and I didn't learn that from a newspaper ;) It's just used for pitch correction when people hit the wrong note so it can be fixed to make it sound "perfect". Kind of like airbrushing but for music. It's been around for years and used in probably every top 40 or mainstream track you hear. If you didnt notice, that's because that's the way it's supposed to be but of course it can be heard clearly in some tracks.
That's why I don't understand the fuss about it NOW. As a consumer it shouldn't matter unless it's used in downright annoying way like robotic voices.

At the end of the day you can just turn off the radio and never use Itunes again :)

99% of recorded music uses it, you just don't notice it. It's a way of life in the music industry.

Most live artists use it too.
