**** Original Starcraft 2 Thread ****

Ok a quick question hoping someone knows the answer.

I have my bnet account which I have my game linked to. Now for my birthday my mate got me a collectors edition of the game. Now my question is can I link this account to my current bnet account ( so I'd have two SC2 accounts under one central bnet account ) and then could I log on to both at the same time ( much like you can with wow ) or do I need to create a separate bnet account so I can play both at the same time?

I had the original and then brought the CE.

I emailed blizzard to see if they could change the standard key to another account, and they did :)

I gave the standard edition to my cousin

You can't have both on one account AFAIK.

Also, the CE is well worth it, some really good content, esp the DVD

What is the best way to beat Mutalisks as Protoss? No idea what to do when attacked by about 30..

Although I've yet to try it out properly as not enough people play Zerg, Phoenixes apparently have a longer range than Mutas. So I'm told a few of them plus some good micro does the trick. Lots of Stalkers don't fair to badly either if you can keep up with the Mutas.

Blink stalkers and cannons are good if you don't want to go phoenix (it's a tricky unit to mix in I find). But once they get that many you really just need to end the game as fast as possible because it's going to get progressively worse, he'll just keep picking away at you until he's on 4 bases and you can't move out of your 1/2 bases. Mutas are expensive and not that strong vs stalkers really, so as Day9 would say, just go and ****ing kill him. :p

yeah if he has a critical mass, just go to his base. he'll be forced to pull the mutas back to defend.

a key thing worth remembering is never use blink to engage, always to chase the mutas.

so if they're about to run away, blink under and get a few extra shots off. I also wouldn't recommend cannons if he has a lot of mutas since it's a waste of 150 minerals really.

why the damage nerf on ultralisks?

Ultras just rofl stomped stalkers.

So a small nerf I understand. The ram change is a buff actually.

In general it's not the greatest patch tbh. PvZ will be helped a lot for the zergs, but and the tank change will help pvt. But the big problem is still mules + marauder imo pvt, and the lack of scouting and number of instalose situations pvz.

^Eh, it happens :)

Yeah, I've often done great with 2-3 Phoenixes against even thrice as many Mutas. The longer range and ability to shoot whilst moving are it. I always get a few during PvZ, if only for giving Queens/Drones lifts ;)

the only thing zerg need is to bring back the lurker.

leave that in the past, what an amazing unit. Leave it there :)

Lurkers wouldn't effect TvZ much anyway, which is where the tiny imbalance actually is. Since lurker vs mech is suicide...

Guys just a heads up, all the toss noobs are celebrating zealot nerf so expect a lot of zealot rushes.

Actually I am quite interested are you having problems with terrans on the ladder indie?

i loose more ZvZ than ZvT actually (on ladder) but my weakest MU is ZvT. im still learning it really, havnt found the right partner to train against. With ZvP i've had Kar to spa with quite a lot.
and finding a Zerg partner is even harder, theres non around ^^

Isn't zvz pretty sure packed with bainlings? I could also tell you how zergies counter my stuff, they rarely manage to though. Had a trouble with zergies at one point but helions/thors/ghosts proves to be unstoppable so far

One of the interesting thoughts I had about the zealot nerf, it's indirectly going to make zealot rushes more powerful.

If you put down a double 10 gate in close positions and chrono out two zealots, the ability of your opponent to react is going to be less than it has been in the past.

I'm thinking about how to incorporate fast 2-3 zealot harass in to my builds for maps like temple, steppes, etc.

yeah its banelings, but its more or less just luck, unless you have some sort of insane micro of course ^^.. which with lings i do, but not with blings, not et at least.

Ghosts are underused in ZvT, as are ravens. Zerg don't really stand much of a chance because every unit pees all over zergs in one way or another. Much easier to get the perfect combination than Z or P.
Harder said than done though. Zerg really need to make the most of harassment and abuse their movement/mobility.
