Ok so my brother is crazy about WoW and i thought it would be a nice surprise for him if i bought him the WoW steel series mouse and the creative WoW headset with built in mic, both kinda pricey but ive looked over the specs and both look quite good, but before i buy them id like to get some input from any people who actually own these products not just read about them, thanks in advance :)

Dont own but have used them and i would rather give my money away to charity then to blizz for these 2 products, tbf there not bad but they about x3 times more then they should be

The mouse with the silly amount of side buttons would be the logical choice as it comes with instructions of how to get and use a wow mod which makes full use of all of them, so you can macro spells and abilities to each of the buttons. Would be stupidly useful in arena and pve if you binded trinket and other "use" items/abilitys to the closest set.

As for the headset, wouldn't bother.

The mouse is pricey but useful. There is another option around the same price with loads of buttons to assign macros too. up to you which you choose.

Again, as for the headset... just buy him a regular one. I dont see how a headset can be designed specifically for WoW. Especially at £109.

Good mouse for playing wow, the extra buttons make it easy to bind spells and macros. I found it very awkward at first but got used to the shape eventually. You can also change the color of the LEDs on the mouse. Later on some of the paint on the main buttons began to wear away. The left click button also decided it was going to squeak each time I clicked it. Although this was after prolonged usage, still a good mouse imo. I was using mine with a Steelseries QcK Limited Edition (Wrath of the Lich King) Mouse Pad and it looked great.

Hi there, now i'm not ashamed to admit this but I play world of warcraft and do so at a somewhat 'high level' and I can say for 100% definite that these products are gimmicks and you would be much better suited buying a mouse such as the MX518 from logitech or better yet the razer deathadder.

These products arent really aimed at high level players.

Theyre for players new to the game and casual players with average skill, specifically the mouse is aimed at making macros easy to use for these market segments.

I dont work for steelseries btw.
