Wondering what peoples views on this would be. Might be thinking about changing out the Accord and sat there thinking which 3.0i would people get for around 15k, am flexible about the 15k.

Only criteria for me is that it must be 4 door, prefer saloons to hatches and must seat 5 comfortably.

Why 3.0i, well that's what I think I want, in terms of age, the newer the better. That's all I'm going to define, the rest I'll leave fairly open.

It always annoyed me how rubbish the pre facelift e90 looks from the outside.

The worst bit is the rubbish halogen back lights which don't even illuminate the cluster properly.

Hmm, the stupid looking rear lights are somewhat higher up my list, the triviality of the front lights not fully illuminating the cluster is somewhat less important.

If a BMW is going to be the winner spend a bit more and get the later one e92.

Just seen the seat 5 bit, get a 5 series then, or a nice S Type Jag.

Rears are easily fixed with the blacklines if you don't like them, never personally had a problem with them thou

Strange request I know but I've secretly, well it's not a secret any more :) been looking at the 335i but as Fox has mentioned I just can't get past the hideous looking rear including the rear light clusters of the pre-LCI and 15k gets me nowhere near an LCI hence the question about which 3 litre.

Chaving the rear lights doesn't fix them.

It needs proper leds.

Plus the front lights suck as well.

And the 05 318s are nearly cheap enough to introduce a load of knuckledraggers to the ownership circle.

What sort of lights does the E92 have?

Or LCI E90?

EDIT: Nevermind, just seen that the LCI E90 has LED rears.

has anybody got a working retrofit in the UK for the e90 LCI lights yet ?

I've seen on bimmerpost that several US vendors offer the ECU reprogramming to get the new LCI ones working properly ... providing you buy the new shape lights and the new shape bootlid to fit them.
