Which 3.0i for around 15k?

DENIED, it's manual aircon......

There's not a whiff of Climate Control on that model

Well, the knob is used to set the temperature and the car does the rest, that makes it climate control in my books :p

The advanced system does look a lot nicer though.

yeah but you have to adjust fan speed manually though

Its not climate unless you can have the car automatically maintain the temperature of the air, and the fan speed to ensure the cabin stays at the same temperature.

with manual aircon it will just pump out as much of that temperature air until you tell it to stop.

YOU DONT.

IT DOES.

If you press the auto button, all you have to do is set the temp using the leftmost knob. The fan speed and which fans are enabled are chosen automatically by the car. As is the temperature of the air, in order to maintain the chosen cabin temp. Once the selected cabin temperature is reached, the fans slow down in order to maintain the temperature.

If any of the other knobs are moved, then auto mode will switch off.

Thats all very lovely but that car has air conditioning not climate control.

has anybody got a working retrofit in the UK for the e90 LCI lights yet ?

I've seen on bimmerpost that several US vendors offer the ECU reprogramming to get the new LCI ones working properly ... providing you buy the new shape lights and the new shape bootlid to fit them.

I've seen a post where somebody has retro fitted Xenons, had to replace the lights, obviously :) the bonnet and bumper, according the post it cost an all too reasonable £1200. Yeah right, think I'd rather put that 1200 towards a newer car to be honest :)

Seen quite a few US vendors doing it, but none in the UK yet.

I don't buy into the whole wanting a 3.0i.

Plenty of companies offer similiar performance to a 3.0i with a smaller engine, plenty of companies offer similiar performance to a 3.0i with a larger engine.

If you found the perfect car would you turn it down because "sorry it's a 3.2l or a 2.8l" even though it has the same performance and characteristics of a 3.0i.

What are you basing this on? To me it looks like it has the exact same system that is in my e60, which is climate control and works as I described.
