***Official Halo Reach Thread***

Just finished the SP mode on Legendary, some real tough bits so it's a good feeling when that 150g pops up! Just 3 achievements left now, really enjoyed the game so far, need to get stuck into the MP now! :)

I'm pro enough! I go +10 in most games I play, but it's difficult when you have 3 people going negative every game.

To be honest after 3 years of Halo 2 and 3 years of Halo 3, I've just pretty much had enough of having to carry the team when randoms are concerned. I have fun when we have a full team and we are doing well, but as soon as it's just me and Bevy left it gets frustrating fast because all I want to do is skull **** every random on my team. Yet I can't do anything to them because 1 betrayal and I am out, yet they can do what ever they like to me and get away with it :o

Il be on in a bit ive got a phone interview in the next hour so getting that out the way before i binge on the halo.
 
This is balls, you should be awarded more credits if a team mate quits the game your in. Just finished multiteam coming 3rd place by myself with 30 kills (none from my "team mate") and a K/D of 20. (team swat though :rolleyes:) Only got <700 credits :mad:
 
Why do ppl who pick team objective only play for kills, was on a 1 bomb assualt on haemorrage i had the bomb and waited for some guys who were close to pick me up but the never did just drove away looking for kills, same thing happened on 1 ctf they were more intrested in getting the tanks and wraiths and spawn camping than doing the obj.

Was playing Invasion earlier and both teams were just playing like it was Team SLayer - I alone did all 3 objectives... I got killed just next to the generator drop of on Spire (jumped off :)) - 3 of my team where by the Pelican with the generator at there feet and didn't touch it - were just running around shooting enemies or playing in Warthogs - I respawned after the 10seconds (suicide from the jump) - ran over and finished the game... WTF
 
Havent played any team objective yet myself, only teamslayer, dont like it when players dont bother with the objectives either. Thats what teamslayer etc are for.
Carrying a giant bomb, travelling at 1 mph with no protection on Halo 3 was no fun at all.
Hope its not more of the same :(

Oddball in multi team was the way to go, I managed 11 assists in one game, Widget got 17 in the same game :eek:

I managed it on my first run and got 370gs in one go :D
Rather tough going at times, though I'm playing it through again and it seems easier this time

No sure in Halo 3 as i never played it but if u melee whilst carrying the bomb/flag then its an instant kill however tonight everyone wanted to play on the wide open map hemorrhage so no way of keeping in cover whilst u traverse the map.
 
2500cr for me to earn to make Captain :)
Then I'll only have the Lt. Colonel achievement left to get :(

I'm still only Warrant Office Grade 1, not sure I'll even bother going for Lt. Colonel but I really don't want to leave those two achievements sitting there not done :p

And on another note I'm surprised that Halo 3 has more people playing than Reach on Live! I guess the figures may change by next week though as they go from the 13th.

Working my way through Legendary Solo now (already done it on Heroic), how awesome is 'Nightfall' on Legendary, proper creepy creepy snipey snipey, really gotta plan your tactics, pick as many off from long range as possible.

Great fun. :D

If I'm reading this rank chart correctly, with the + number in brackets being the number of credits you need over the previous level to reach promotion... some of the further ranks on from Warrant Officer actually require less credits to advance than the Warrant Officer ranks which need 33,000 a level.

Thanks for posting that, looks like once you hit captain you can whip through the following grades quite quickly

It looks like captain is the 'hardest' rank to attain
 
I put off buying this game because I wasnt that chuffed with Halo 3 and ODST but buckled and bought it for a good price 2nd hand and im really suprised at how good the game is so far! Im quite pleased with my purchase! I've not tried the online part yet though just single player!

Ive got one question though when you earn these credits for bits and pieces for your suit is it something that you can use on and offline?
 
just took the day off to finish campaign, and did love it quite a lot. the ending is brilliant as well - although with out putting spoilers i bet you get some right noobjockys who actually try and do what it says at the end thus kind of missing the point of it...lmao

still not a fan of mp though, swat is perhaps the gayest game mode i have ever seen
